2017 is a year full of excitement for us at Vivre, and we hope it is for you too! To kickstart a wonderful year ahead, we will be holding our first very own yoga class series, a collaboration with an outdoor yoga studio, Akash Yoga Singapore.

OBJECTIVES

It’s simple. We want to:

  • Bring like-minded customers together to have fun
  • Let you experience yoga at no or low cost
  • Create a more holistic workout experience with Vivre; from what to wear, to breaking out a sweat in Vivre’s gear

WHO – AKASH YOGA SINGAPORE

Akash Yoga Singapore started out with a small group of yoga lovers who found outdoor yoga practice in the park a refreshing addition to their self-practice.

Akash teachers place great emphasis on correct alignment and a safe practice. There will be at least 2 teachers per class, and each classes are kept small to ensure adequate attention for each student.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT

If you’ve always been practicing, or intend to practice indoors, then outdoor yoga might be something new that’s worth giving it a shot.

Under the guidance of RYT certified yoga teachers from Akash Yoga Singapore, you will experience a safe and breezy evening practice in a park. If you’re someone looking to improve your practice, there will also be at least 2 teachers per class to help with correcting your alignments during the 60-minute class. As such, all classes are capped to ensure a comfortable teacher-to-students ratio for a better experience.

For the time being, we will be offering 2 class types:

(a) V-Core

V-Core is great for core strengthening. It helps to set the foundation you need in many challenging postures like arm balances and inversions. When you learn how to properly engage your core muscles, that’s when you start to feel light and before you know it, you will be floating!

Focus: Strengthening of back and abdomen muscles, and glutes

Difficulty: Beginner-Intermediate

(b) V-Power

V-Power is great if you’re looking to step up your practice. The class comes at a faster rhythm and longer holds in each posture using your body weight – powerful strength training. Expect yourself to sweat buckets as you get yourself into a calming yet energizing full body workout.

Focus: Strengthening and toning of entire body

Difficulty: Intermediate

(c) V-Vinyasa

V-Vinyasa is great if you’re looking to step up your practice. The class comes at a faster rhythm and you will be challenged to find ease and grace by linking each movement to your breath. Expect yourself to sweat buckets as you get yourself into a calming yet energising full body workout.

Focus: Strengthening and toning of entire body

Difficulty: Beginner-Intermediate

For a start, we will be holding classes every fortnightly, starting from 18 February.

Vivre Yoga Class 1: V-Power

Vivre Yoga Class 3: V-Core

Time: 10am-11am

Vivre Yoga Class 4: V-Vinyasa

Date: 1 April 2017, Saturday

Time: 5pm – 6pm

HOW DOES IT WORK

Cost

It will be $10 per class. After completion of the class, there will be a $10 Vivre cash voucher given for usage at our retail stores.
