#SGYOGAGA Leading Yogis

#sgyogaga - Angeline (week 1 - 5 poses)

Angeline Yeo, Yogi and Blogger, @sassyyogi, www.sassy-yogi.com

“This is Angie. I’m a 22 year old Singaporean yogi who’s a dreamer and an idealist. I love yoga, coffee, tea, & the smell of rain and roses. An aspiring yoga teacher, I’m on a journey to self-love and acceptance.”

Sassyyogi started off as a tumblr blog in April 2013, which has grown into a loving and amazing community of almost 24,000 people and counting.

#sgyogaga - Vivian (week 2 - 5 poses)

Vivian Neo, Yoga instructor at Sadhana Sanctuary, @vivianography

Vivian started her yoga journey during her recovery from Bulimia. Being curious and doubtful about the benefits of yoga, Vivian became addicted to yoga after her first hot yoga class at a local yoga school. Her yoga journey started on from then and through daily practices, Vivian observes personal growth in her mind, body and spirit.

Currently a Yoga instructor at Sadhana Sanctuary, Vivian is always excited to share her practice of yoga with all levels of students whom she crosses paths with.

#sgyogaga - Nicole (week 3 - 5 poses)

Nicole Chung, Stand-Up Paddle yoga instructor, @supyogasingapore, www.supyogasingapore.com

Having sprained her lower back in a wakeboarding mishap, Nicole came to know of yoga through her pursuit of an activity that would be a great workout minus the impact on her joints.

Nicole is now the founder and instructor of Stand-up Paddle (SUP) yoga Singapore, an activity which combines yoga with the movement of the sea as you practice on a SUP board. Nicole’s first taste of SUP yoga was in Dubai. Realising how SUP yoga had changed her practice in the studio, she was determined to bring SUP yoga to Singapore and make it accessible to anyone who’s interested.

#sgyogaga - Jasmine (week 4 - 5 poses)

Jasmine Tay, Yoga instructor at True Fitness and Meraki, @jasminetayoga

Jasmine is a print designer during the day, and a yoga instructor at True Fitness and Meraki Yoga in the evenings. And despite her over the brim schedule, Jasmine is also an active volunteer in hosting yoga-fundraiser events for dog shelters in hopes of benefiting the animal welfares and organisations in Singapore.

She hopes to inspire students through the practice of yoga, connecting with their mind and body and lead them towards a deeper level of physical fitness and healthy lifestyle along with mental peace.

Guest Bloggers

Besides the leading yogis, we have guest bloggers Zoe Raymond and Jasmine Danker to join in the fun! Like most of us, they are neither teachers nor experts in the yoga scene, but have accepted the challenge to work towards learning and perfecting more yoga poses.

Zoe is a beauty and fashion blogger who took up yoga at Sadhana Sanctuary in the beginning of 2013. After realizing how Yoga improved her physical and mental health, she now shares her progress diligently on her Instagram @zoeraymond and blog (www.zoeraymond.com).

Jasmine Danker

Jasmine is a freelance personal trainer and fitness blogger who recently took up yoga to improve on her alignment and flexibility. The purpose of her blog (www.jasminedanker.com) and Instagram @jasminedanker, is not only to share her personal health experiences but also a constant reminder for herself to live a balanced life. It is not all about looking good, but it is a journey to love herself and to be passionate about what she does.
